Christmas time 2012

Benji's Christmas!!!

This month I have been doing some Christmas stuff.  as you see there are some pictures of me doing Christmas stuff.  the first was my Christmas concert.  the one below that is my Christmas concert too.  The day of the blizzard was so much fun.  as you see,  I am wearing all my snow clothes.  I am wearing goggles so that snow doesn't get in my eyes.  The picture below that is Santa and me.  We did that today, it was fun!  We did the Christmas concert on Tuesday.

My Christmas concert was great.  We practiced at the church because our school was too small.  I sang lots of songs, I knew all the music!  I ate breakfast with Santa today.  I asked Santa if he could bring me what i want.  He said okay, i will make that!

So far, Christmas is awsome!  I loved pulling Santa's beard, and listening to the music from Ben and Sam's Concerts.  I have learned to sit up and I sleep about 11 hours at night.  Mom is really happy about that.  and because I don't get up at night as often, Mommy lets Daddy get up with me at night.  I love that!!  infact, I don't want to go back to sleep after he feeds me!

Merry Christmas!  I love this time of year!  It's so much fun to see how excited the kids are.  Sammy couldn't stop jumping up and down when he saw santa, and Benji had to have discustion on weither or not this is the real santa, or just one of santa's messagers.  either way though, he still wants a remote control helicopter.
The weather here has gotten colder, the snow is deeper, and the sun is setting before it even finished rising.  I thought i would hate it a lot more than i do.  The only really tough day are blizzard days.  other than that, i really like wearing sweaters, and the snow sparkles in then sun and having the sun always at "half Mass" makes the whole world look a little pink and blue.
James' work party this year was a blast.  It was an 80's theme, and ofcourse we dressed up.  James and I went to salvation army to get our totally wicked costumes.  it was so much fun!  James' coworker are so great!  we laughed at ourselves all night.

I added half a can of hairspray and my hard still went flat!

Do you remember uncle Eddie from Girzwald Family Chirstmas?

2012-12-2 Pluto

The Super Fast Benji Blog
This is my first blog.  This is a movie of my car racing.  It’s a remote control car.  I was hoping for a remote control helicopter for Christmas.
We have an elf that comes to our house at Christmas time called Pluto.  Pluto moves all over the house each day in December.  He was in my room today on the curtain.  I am excited to see where he will be tomorrow.
Love, Benji

Captain Moroni Sammy
My Christmas concert is coming this week, but my school is small.  So we will be singing at the nearby church.  Pluto was on the curtain in my room this morning and he is a scout elf.  My favorite song is Away in a Manger because I know all the sign language for it.  Mom and Dad have started putting presents under the tree and Benji and I thought that the presents were from Santa!

Tid bits from Timmy
I cry a lot.  I am growing new teeth.  I don’t cry when I am sleeping.

A second with Cynthia
Can you believe its Christmas time?  Everyone here is very excited.  It’s only the second of December and the whole house is covered in Christmas lights.  This is our first year with a real Christmas tree, and we love it.  The whole house smells of pine needles.
Alaska is an interesting place in December.  It is so cold and so dark.  The sun comes up around 10 AM and goes down around 4 PM, so the people here do one of two things.  They keep really busy with holiday things and school, or sleep.  James calls it Hibernating.    I find that I have been doing a little bit of both.
This week Benji had an assignment at school to find out where his ancestors came from.  It was nice to pull out the paper I wrote on Elizabeth Uren, and tell Benji a few key points about where he came from.  He was really upset that I only went back to the birth of Elizabeth, because he wanted me to go all the way back to Adam and Eve.  I explained that was little to much to tell the whole class.  But when he got up to explain were his ancestors came from, he tried to tell them that we are all related because we all came from Adam and Eve.  He came home a little upset because his teacher said that he wasn’t allow to say that in class.  He is so sweet, later he told me that he asked him teacher what church she belongs to, and what she believes, only to then explain what he believes.  Good thing the first presidency lowered the age that young men can go on missions.  I think Benji is ready to go now.
This week during family scripture study, James read a section starting with “according to the flesh”.  Sammy burst out with laughter.  When we calmed him down we asked him what was so funny.  He said, “Why would you record the flush?”  he thought James said “Recording of the flush” referring to the flushing sound the toilet makes.  There is never a dull moment with Sammy right now.
Sammy came to me yesterday crying and very upset.  When I asked him what was wrong he told  me that he had lost his super power.  I had to think of a new one to give him.  Now he has tornado power, which spins around while he cleans up his toys.  Lets hope that super power will stick around for a while.
Timmy is finally sleeping through the night.  Its feels a little bit funny because he is only 6 month old.  But he is such a doll.  I can’t believe how big he is getting.  Some days I wish I could freeze time and rock him to sleep forever.
Well that all for now!
Lots of Love, Cynthia

Joking James’ Jabberings
This week I found myself.  I found myself going crazy with Christmas lights and decorations.  There is a string of lights from the boys’ room all the way thru the hall, down the stairs to the Christmas tree.  We even have lights in the dinning room adding a cantina feel ambiance to our dinning experience.  Started “Walk the Pipeline” at work where we use a pedometer to count how many steps we take.  We are walking the equivalent of the Alaska pipeline down to Valdez and back up to Barrow.  It looks like I did about 90,000 steps this week.  Next week, I am shooting for six figures.
I am excited about Pluto the Elf as well, as he comes around like Halley’s comet annually to orbit our house.  This has an interesting effect on our children, as they strive to please this stuff creature.
Cynthia is cute.  I would like to thank her for using her fingers to type this for my blog spot.  Please do not think that she is vain for writing that she is cute.
Peace Out, Cub Scout.
